Yes, I know, MR(s) macho-pants… you can endure lots of heavy barbell lifting. But how about all of that mobility training you’ve been putting off, or flexibility work, or your diet. (What about those elements of the rest of your life that you avoid because it seems too uncomfortable.)
With a heavy barbell, you can trick yourself into believing you have courage by “psyching” yourself up, banging your head on a wall, and running around the gym like a chicken lacking a head. But that’s all fake courage.
The kind of courage you want is the ability to stay CALM and RELAXED despite the fact that you are in the midst of pain or discomfort that you KNOW is good for you.
In other words, less #Beastmode, more #ZenMode… bro.
